Itinerary

• Day 1: UK - Rotterdam or Zeebrugge
  Leave from your selected departure point for the overnight ferry crossing from Hull to Rotterdam, or Zeebrugge.
• Day 2: Rotterdam - Cologne
  Having travelled to the lively and vibrant Rhineland city of Cologne, we settle ourselves aboard the mps Amsterdam. Following a relaxed evening meal in the ship's restaurant, we can get acquainted with one another in the ship's lounge bar whilst enjoying the festive atmosphere.
• Day 3: Cologne - Andernach
  Christmas Eve starts with our included Cologne Highlights walking tour. After lunch we cruise up river to Andernach, where the remainder of the day can be spent exploring the streets and riverside promenades of this attractive walled town. This evening we gather together for a traditional German Christmas dinner.
• Day 4: Andernach - Rüdesheim
  Merry Christmas! We continue cruising up river through the dramatic narrow Rhine Gorge to the typical Rhineland town of Rüdesheim. Following a traditional British Christmas lunch, you have the option of joining our Rüdesheim Delights excursion which includes a visit to the wonderful mechanical music museum of Siegfried and a mug of Glühwein. This evening you can venture into the captivating Drosselgasse, a narrow street lined with traditional wine houses and garden taverns, or relax on board and enjoy the entertainment.
• Day 5: Rüdesheim - Koblenz
  Boxing Day sees us retracing our route down the Rhine Gorge as far as the 2000 year old city of Koblenz, where the Moselle meets the Rhine. This afternoon you can relax on board, explore medieval Koblenz or join our optional excursion into the magical Moselle Valley.
• Day 6: Koblenz - Bonn
  Continuing our course down the Rhine, we pass the Siebengebirge (Seven Mountains) and head for Bonn, Ludwig van Beethoven’s birthplace, where you can join the Bonn Highlights excursion to acquaint yourself with this former capital.
• Day 7: Bonn - Cologne
  We complete our cruise on arrival in the city of Cologne where you are free to explore. Alternatively you can join our optional Romantic Rhine Towns excursion, visiting the pretty towns of Linz and Königswinter, which has a beautiful setting in the Siebengebirge.
• Day 8: Rotterdam - Hull
  The final 'leg' of our cruise gets underway before breakfast this morning as our Captain returns us safely to Andernach. Having breakfasted, it will sadly be time to bid farewell to our Captain and his crew and, making a promise to return, we disembark the mps Amsterdam for the final time to commence our return journey home.
• Day 9: Hull - Local Area
  Continue your journey to your original departure point.
