A resolution made now to spend New Year with the Captain and his crew on board the mps Amsterdam will be the best decision made all year! The cracking New Year's Eve party on board and the atmosphere around the medieval town of Koblenz, will surely only confirm how right that decision was. We'll cruise the Rhine's most romantic waters, learn of the myths surrounding the Lorelei Rock and have the opportunity to taste Cochem's delicious local wine and apple strudel. As we set course for our final destination of Cologne, we may not want to bid farewell to our hosts and friends but at least we leave with fond memories.

Itinerary
- Day 1 UK - Rotterdam
Leave from your selected departure point for the overnight ferry crossing from Newcastle to Rotterdam. Having travelled aboard our coach to meet the mps Amsterdam - Day 2 Rotterdam - Andernach
We travel to Andernach and board the mps Amsterdam where you can relax or venture into the attractive Rhineland town before this evening’s entertainment. - Day 3 Andernach - Rüdesheim
Casting off this morning we cruise up river, through the dramatic narrow Rhine Gorge, to the pretty town of Rüdesheim. After lunch you can join our optional Rüdesheim Delights excursion which includes a visit to the wonderful mechanical music museum of Siegfried and a mug of Glühwein. This evening you are free to explore so be sure to visit the Drosselgasse, a narrow cobblestone street which is the town’s cultural heart, and perhaps try a Rüdesheim coffee. - Day 4 Rüdesheim - Koblenz
New Year's Eve starts with us retracing our route down the Rhine Gorge as far as Koblenz. Here you can relax on board, explore the walled city or join our optional excursion into the scenic Moselle Valley. Be sure to pack your ''glad rags'' for tonight's highlight, our wonderful New Year's Eve Gala Dinner and Party Night. - Day 5 Koblenz - Cologne
Very quietly, so as not to disturb those needing a lie-in, our optional excursion for the Romantic Rhine Towns departs this morning, whilst the mps Amsterdam cruises on to Cologne in time for lunch. You can join our included Highlights tour to familiarise yourself with the largest Rhineland city, famous for its huge gothic Cathedral, traditional pubs and of course eau de Cologne, you can round off the visit by a spot of window shopping in the city's renowned shopping centre’s. - Day 6 Cologne - Rotterdam
Having bidden farewell to our Captain and his crew we commence our return coach and overnight ferry crossing back to the UK. - Day 7 Newcastle - Local Area
