Celebrity Flora

Celebrity Flora

At a media showcase held at the Dammen Shipyard in Rotterdam in late April, Celebrity Cruises revealed their first purpose-built ship for the Galápagos Islands. The 100-guest Celebrity Flora will commence its calendar of 7-night sailings around this enchanting natural laboratory of biodiversity on 30 June 2019.

The much anticipated Celebrity Flora has been conceived with the destination and its environment inspiring and influencing all design concepts. From luxurious all-suite accommodations to Dynamic Positioning System, Celebrity Cruises has created a ship that truly differentiates between visiting this incredible corner of the world and experiencing it.

The cruise line also unveiled three new cutting-edge partnerships for the revolutionary new ship: A world-renowned conservationist turned Godmother, a one-of-a-kind designer with an unmatched vision, and a leading university specialising in marine and atmospheric sciences.

“These one-of-a-kind partnerships help underscore our passion for protecting this beautiful archipelago,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises. “Each of these new partners are helping shape a better tomorrow for our planet in one way or another – whether it’s through the research, sustainable material sourcing or conservation – and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this sea change.”

There are 360-degree views at The Vista - an open-air hideaway with cocoon-style loungers and private cabanas; as well as in the floor-to-ceiling glass-wrapped Observatory. The Marina will be the primary access point to the ship and the six custom-built Novurania yacht tenders operating from a dedicated pontoon will offer a seamless sea-to-shore experience for guests.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served daily in the contemporary Seaside Restaurant where menus have been crafted by the company’s Michelin-starred chef. The Ocean Grill will offer a casual dining space, panoramic views and ‘Dinner under the Stars’; alternatively guests will have the choice of ordering from an indulgent in-room dining menu – or sign up for first-ever glamping experience at sea in the cabanas at The Vista on Deck 7.

Celebrity Flora’s two Penthouse Suites are the largest in the Galápagos with separate indoor and outdoor living areas, customisable lighting and blinds, and a telescope. Guests can also find relaxation in Royal Suites, Ultimate Sky Suites with Infinite Veranda, Premium Sky Suites with Infinite Veranda and Sky Suites with Infinite Veranda.
