Crystal Endeavor Itineraries
Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises has unveiled the inaugural roster of sailings for its newest globetrotting vessel, Crystal Endeavor. From August 2020 until January 2021, the 200-passenger expedition ship will visit some of the world’s most far-reaching and fascinating regions on voyages lasting from 12 to 22 days. These sailings will be rich with discovery and will explore the cultural and bio-diversity of Japan and the Russian Far East, New Zealand, Australia and Antarctica. In addition, Crystal Endeavor will follow seasonal shifts to warmer destinations.
“Every facet of Crystal Endeavor is meant to take travellers beyond their previous travel boundaries and expectations. Her exceptional design, luxury accommodations and amenities have already set the stage for this, and now, as we unveil her first six months of journeys, travellers have a tremendous glimpse of the grand discoveries in store for this groundbreaking yacht,” said Crystal President and CEO Tom Wolber. “Crystal Endeavor will take guests to remote destinations not typically accessible on a cruise, as well as some iconic places, albeit with a decidedly adventurous twist.”
The destinations visited will offer distinctive experiences, climate and terrain that are suited for the boldest travellers, with opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, helicopter and Zodiac tours, plus encounters with majestic wildlife and more depending on the region.
The first voyages to be announced include: a 17-day ‘Russian Far East Maiden Expedition’, sailing round-trip from to Russia’s dramatic Kamchatka Peninsula, the wildlife-rich Kuril Islands, Hokkaido and Rishiri, plus an optional exploration of the Valley of the Geysers. There’s Tokyoalso a 16-day ‘Philippines, Borneo & Indonesia Quest’ from Taipei to Bali, highlights of which include Taroko Gorge, Hundred Islands National Park, Borneo’s Kinabatangan River, Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Torajaland, plus Zodiac, diving and snorkelling expeditions. Unforgettable encounters during the 12-day ‘Remote Coasts of New Zealand’ cruise from Auckland to Christchurch include Hahei Marine Reserve and Cathedral Cove, Bay of Plenty, Mount Maunganui, Captain Cook Monument & Motuara Island and Abel Tasman National Park.
At approximately 20,000 tonnes, Crystal Endeavor will be the largest, most spacious purpose-built polar-class expedition yacht, boasting luxurious amenities and special touches for which Crystal is renowned. The yacht will feature generous public spaces, a full-service spa and salon as well as six restaurants including Nobu Matsuhisa’s Umi Uma. Accommodations will offer private butler service for every suite plus luxurious touches including heated storage for drying parkas, spa-like bathrooms with adjustable heated floors and rain-showerheads.
