HAL – Ready Set Sail

Holidaymakers looking to book a Holland America Line cruise can take advantage of the ‘Ready Set Sail’ promotion featuring pre-paid gratuities and reduced deposits on nearly all of the cruise line’s worldwide itineraries. If you book a Holland America Line cruise by 14 June 2018, you will be eligible to receive the offer; guests who book a suite will also receive up to $300 onboard spending money per stateroom. 

All cruises between 1 September 2018 and 1 August 2019, excluding Grand Voyages and Grand Voyage segments, are eligible for the ‘Ready Set Sail’ promotion. The prepaid gratuities cover the hotel service charge (tips), while 50 percent reduced deposits and attractive fares make it more affordable to start planning for a future cruise. Suite guests can use their onboard spending money to enjoy a variety of shipboard experiences and amenities. Extras that the credit can be applied to include treatments at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, gift shop purchases, shore excursions, beverages or dinner at one of the specialty restaurants such as Pinnacle Grill, Sel de Mer, Canaletto or Tamarind. 

With a proud, maritime tradition that dates back over 140 years, Holland America Line specialises in mid-sized ships that explore the world in elegant style, often visiting off-the-beaten-track ports too small for their larger rivals to fit into. The line is known for its fine food, both in the main dining rooms and the speciality restaurants. Each ship offers a Culinary Arts Center for state-of-the-art cookery demonstrations or classes, even featuring sessions for children.

Every ship also offers the chance to learn ballroom dancing, thanks to a partnership with the American TV series Dancing With The Stars (similar to Strictly Come Dancing).
