New Cruises from Uniworld

New Cruises from Uniworld

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, the world’s most luxurious all-inclusive river cruise line, has revealed three new itineraries in Europe for 2019. There’s a 15-day ‘Alluring Amsterdam & Vienna’ cruise which will travel along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, transporting guests through the stunning Wachau Valley. Travelling aboard the River Princess, guests will get the chance to sample the finest Riesling wines at Rheinweinwelt; cycle or paddle a canoe along the picturesque ‘Main Loop’; enjoy sunset hikes through castle ruins; and visit traditional Kölsch beer halls in Cologne.

There’s also a 10-day ‘Authentic Danube & Prague’ sailing along the Main-Danube Canal and the Danube River aboard the River Princess from Vienna to Prague. Excursions include a hike or bike ride along the Ilz River, or the foothills of the Bavarian Forest. Also in this fabled forest, guests can join an exclusive experience at the Theresienthal crystal glass factory to see how craftsmen have been creating glassware for Bavarian royalty since 1836.

Finally there’s a new 10-day ‘Magnificent Moselle & Rhine’ cruise aboard the River Queen which gives plenty of opportunities to sample wines from one of the finest winemaking regions in Germany. Wine tastings are available to guests within the historic walls of Abbey Eberbach, alongside a ‘Sip and Savour’ excursion of Trier where guests will sample Roman dishes from the Apicius’ cookbook. Travelling aboard the River Queen, the all-inclusive experience will bring the cuisines and fine wines of the region on board with wine-paired dinners every evening.

Following the success of the unveiling of their newest Super-Ship, the S.S. Beatrice, this year, 2019 will see an interior transformation of the River Royale - Uniworld’s intimate ship in the Bordeaux region of south-western France, creating the fleet’s sixth Super-Ship. According to Uniworld President and CEO Ellen Bettridge, everything begins with the ships, which is why she says, “Year after year, to provide our guests with the absolute best and secure our position as the leader in luxury river cruising, we will continue to renovate our current ships. We will never stop getting better. Never stop improving.”

With a fleet of 13 vessels, Uniworld sails through some of Europe’s most spectacular cities and towns along the Rhine, Danube, Douro, Rhône, Seine, Gironde, Garonne and Dordogne rivers; as well as exploring the waterways of Russia, Egypt, India and Asia. Without doubt, discerning travellers who seek an appreciation of the hidden gems of Europe’s legendary rivers appreciate the subtle way Uniworld have elevated the all-inclusive concept to an entirely new level.
