Norwegian Encore

Norwegian Encore

Hard on the heels of the highly successful introduction of Norwegian Bliss in April, the irrepressible Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced the name of the next ship in the Breakaway Plus series. Norwegian Encore will sail the Caribbean from Miami beginning in autumn 2019. NCL senior management, along with shipyard owners, gathered at the Meyer Werft Laser Centre in Papenburg, Germany to witness the cutting of the first plate of steel, marking the ceremonial start of construction of Norwegian Encore.

Norwegian Encore will be the seventeenth ship in the NCL fleet and the line’s fourth and final ship in the Breakaway Plus Class - the most successful class in the brand’s history. Accommodating 4,000 guests, Norwegian Encore will sail weekly seven-day Caribbean cruises departing each Sunday from Miami. The new ship will pair innovative design and modern luxurious décor with an array of options that will allow guests the freedom and flexibility to enjoy their cruise holiday at their own unique pace and style.

In recent years NCL’s new ships have come with a host of innovations such as bigger and better thrill rides; activities that appeal to adrenalin-junkies; water parks for even the most demanding kids; a greater array of speciality dining options; larger suites or dedicated enclaves for passengers seeking indulgence; and ever-more lavish spas and recreation facilities.

NCL’s great deal - Premium All Inclusive – makes budgeting for a cruise holiday so much easier as it takes away any nagging doubts about extras that appear on your on-board account at the end of a cruise. For the cruise line that introduced Freestyle Cruising, it’s great to see an evolution of this concept that allows passengers to feel free to order what they want, where they want, when they want.

NCL is offering its most comprehensive European cruise programme ever this summer with no fewer than five ships sailing Europe-wide itineraries. If you prefer not to fly or just like the convenience of cruising from the UK, the recently refurbished Norwegian Jade is sailing roundtrip from Southampton on a choice of northern Europe cruises.
