Nothing will match AmaMagna

Since 2002 the family-owned and operated river cruise company AmaWaterways have expanded its fleet to 20 ships and another one is due to join the fleet in 2018. However nothing will match AmaMagna which is slated to enter service in 2019. As AmaWaterways biggest ship ever, this 194-passenger vessel will be a ship on steroids. Twice the width of traditional river ships, this river titan will sail along the Danube.

The company is renowned for its innovative stateroom design featuring unique ‘twin balconies’; its wide choice of included shore excursions featuring biking and hiking options for the active traveller; and its award-winning dining – including the Chef’s Table speciality restaurant; as well as complimentary fine wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.  Modern, spacious and tastefully decorated, each ship carries less than 164 guests and features onboard amenities such as hair and massage salons and a fitness room, plus many have heated outdoor swimming pools with swim-up bars.  

However AmaMagna will represent a new concept – one designed to elevate river cruising to new heights.  Twice the width of traditional European river ships, this much anticipated new vessel will boast luxurious living spaces, multiple dining options including an al fresco glass-enclosed restaurant, more onboard activities and enhanced evening entertainment.  There will also be an open-water sports platform, complete with Zodiacs, canoes and recreational equipment.

AmaMagna will feature 98 standard staterooms – the majority of which will be over 300 square feet - some of the largest in river cruising, plus four suites and one Owners' Suite.  Additional amenities include a large heated sundeck swimming pool with whirlpool and Sky Bar, a spacious spa area offering new treatments, a fitness room large enough for small group classes and generous common areas designed to accommodate a variety of onboard events.

The company was recently inducted into the La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, a prestigious international gastronomic society dedicated to fine cuisine, so you can be sure the food is going to be outstanding.
