One of Britain’s biggest TV shows, Saturday Night Takeaway, is coming to Britain’s biggest ship
You could be part of it all. On 27 March 2016, Britannia will set sail from Southampton for two weeks in the stunning Med on cruise B608.On 1 and 2 April, passengers on board will get to enjoy two days in Barcelona, where an episode of Saturday Night Takeaway will be broadcast live from the ship, giving you the chance to join in the fun and soak up the exciting atmosphere.
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is a live entertainment spectacular hosted by the popular duo, that features stunts and comedy sketches, as well as celebrity appearances. At the 2015 BAFTA Television Awards it was named Best Entertainment Programme while Ant and Dec were awarded the Best Entertainment Performance title for the show.
This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for you to watch Ant and Dec, and their celebrity guests on board, as they film the show. Please note that due to the nature of the set, there will be some disruption and limited access to certain pool areas from 30 March - 3 April, and not all passengers will be able to be part of the live audience.
Please Note : The ITV production team and equipment will be boarding in Southampton. En route from Southampton to Barcelona we will be constructing the stage for the show in the middle of the ship on deck 16. This means that one of the swimming pools (Riviera) in this area will be closed from Wednesday 30 March; to Friday 1 April it will be necessary to close the entire swimming pool area in the middle of the ship as we make our final preparations for the live broadcast, they will all open again on Sunday 3 April. Not all passengers will be able to be part of the live audience.
