P&O Cruises Introduces New Tour in Arabia
Whether it’s a bird’s eye view of Abu Dhabi from a seaplane, accelerating from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds on the Bahrain International Circuit, being warmly welcomed into a family home in Muscat for lunch, tasting the local dishes on a Middle Eastern Food Trail, heading into the Hajar Mountains on a four wheel drive adventure in Khor Al Fakkan, cruising along the fjords of Khasab on a traditional Dhow boat or exploring the mangroves of Sir Bani Yas Island by paddleboard, guests will be spoilt for choice with P&O Cruises’ exciting new range of shore excursions available on its 2019 Dubai and Arabian Gulf itineraries.
P&O Cruises forged the sea routes of Empire in the 19th and 20th centuries, now they are renowned for offering a quintessentially British cruise experience across the globe. The familiar style cannot be overemphasized in the fleet of seven ships which attract a clientele that’s fiercely loyal and who revel in the traditional interpretation of cruising.
For the Arabian Gulf cruises, the 2,016-passenger Oceana is the perfect choice for cruising in these temperate seas. Although the ship entered service in 2003 there have been several refurbishments since – the most recent in 2017.
The 10-night fly/cruises from Dubai visit Sir Bani Yas Island (a nature reserve south-west of Abu Dhabi); Manama (capital of Bahrain); Khasab (on the Musandam Peninsula in Oman); plus Muscat (capital of the Sultanate of Oman); and Abu Dhabi.
New tours in Abu Dhabi include a Desert Safari; Yas Marina F1 Circuit; Ferrari World Attraction Park; Seaplane flight over the city; a RIB ride experience; as well as an Arabian Nights tour. In Dubai there’s a 4WD desert safari; barbeque under the stars; and a Middle Eastern food trail. In Khasab there’s an Omani Fjord dhow cruise and a tour to Jebel Harim by 4WD. In Khor Al Fakkan guests can enjoy a Musandam mountain adventure; Emirati home experience; and a Dhow Cruise in Dibba. While in Manama there’s the chance for thrills on the SR3 track ride and Bahrain International Circuit. In Salalah tours to Job’s Tomb as well as a 4x4 adventure are available.
With over 78 shore excursions to choose from, there is something for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, an adrenalin junkie, a culture vulture, a shopaholic or simply looking to relax and soak up the sun. There can be few more convenient ways of escaping winter chills than setting sail from the mind-blowing metropolis that is Dubai. For more details of these popular sailings call 0800 484 0370
