P&O Cruises - this is the life

P&O Cruises - this is the life

Anyone glued to their television screens to catch the festive episode of Victoria on Christmas night would have seen the first screening of P&O Cruises’ latest ‘This is the life’ advert. Narrated through the eyes of an enthusiastic cruise newcomer, played by actor and comedian Rob Brydon, the advert shows the variety of memorable ‘moments’ guests can enjoy both on board and on shore. This year’s version focuses on bringing to life how the P&O Cruises’ experience makes you feel, whether its descending a stunning sweeping staircase, being romanced by the silver service on board or simply being awe-struck by the natural world and spotting whales.

To celebrate its peak booking period, P&O Cruises is offering low deposits, extra on-board spending money and enticing prices with its brand new ‘This Way For More Memories’ promotion which runs until 5th March. This generous offer rewards guests in a variety of ways including extra on board spending money on every ‘Select Price’ outside cabin, balcony or suite as well as low deposits of just 5 percent on ‘Select Price’ bookings for outside cabins, balconies or suites on cruises of 35 nights and under.

P&O Cruises is the world’s oldest cruise line, tracing its heritage back over 180 years. Its original name was the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company and the company’s success was due in large part to regular sailings to the Far East and Australia. These exotic voyages were made shorter with the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869. Today their ships are unashamedly tailored to British cruising tastes. The familiar style cannot be overemphasized in the company’s contemporary and innovative ships which attract a clientele that’s fiercely loyal and who revel in the traditional interpretation of cruising.

The nine ships in the P&O fleet offer a diverse range of venues for relaxation and entertainment, including cocktail bars, nightclubs, cinemas, games rooms, and cabaret lounges. Passengers enjoy live bands, revue-style musicals, and cabaret singers, comedians, tribute acts, classical recitals and concerts. Theme evenings include tropical, 1960s and '70s, or Black and White Ball. In 2018 there’s an even greater variety of Food Heroes sailings as well as four sailings featuring stars from Strictly Come Dancing.

Abundance of balcony and outside cabins on P&O ships ensures that a sea view is never far away. Accommodations, from inside cabins to lavish suites, cater to a wide cross-section of budgets and tastes. Whilst there are two ships exclusively for adults – Arcadia and Oriana - the others are extremely family-friendly. The ‘This Way For More Memories’ promotion is now running and certain to be in high demand. For more details call 0808 256 6742.
