Top 10 things on MSC Seaside

Top 10 things on MSC Seaside

Christened at the end of 2017, MSC Seaside is the company’s first ship dedicated to sailing Caribbean itineraries out of Miami. With a capacity for 5,119 passengers, this mega-ship is definitely a destination in its own right. Here are our top ten favourite attractions on board.

  1. The two glass-floored catwalks along the sides of the ship give passengers the feeling that they are walking on water. The Bridge of Sighs is a single glass-bottomed path at the stern on Deck 16 that juts out from the ship 130 feet above the ocean.

  2. MSC Seaside’s showpiece specialty restaurant is Asian Market Kitchen by Roy Yamaguchi. Located on Deck 16, the restaurant has three distinct dining concepts each offering an authentic pan-Asian dining experience, including sushi and four teppanyaki grills.

  3. Butcher’s Cut is an American-style steakhouse that serves speciality cuts of meat, craft beers, American wines and cocktails, with an open-fronted kitchen.

  4. Bringing guests closer to the sea, 73 percent of all cabins have balconies. There are 111 modular cabins which are suitable for families and groups up to 10, there are also exclusive aft corner suites where a beach condominium vibe comes to life.

  5. MSC Seaside’s MSC Yacht Club is the largest ever, offering 86 suites complete with wood panelling, marble bathrooms and widescreen TVs; each is served by a 24-hour butler.

  6. The two-deck, 934-seat Metropolitan Theatre features seven new shows which include ‘Butterflies’ - an abridged production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly.

  7. There are six distinct areas dedicated to children based on their age. These include Baby Club - developed with the leading global brand Chicco; Junior Club - where kids between seven and 11 can play with the latest Lego toys; and DOREMI Studio - a lounge where families can gather for entertainment and activities that happen throughout the cruise.

  8. MSC Seaside features six different pools including the South Beach pool on Deck 7 at the stern; the Miami Beach pool located towards the stern on Deck 16; and the Jungle Pool, which can be covered by a magrodome on Deck 18.

  9. Forest Aqua Adventure Park has four waterslides, including two fast-track slides on either side of the ship. MSC Seaside also features the longest zip line at sea - twin 345-ft lines move guests from the very top of the ship to the finish line at the stern.

  10. There’san F1 racing simulator, an interactive XD cinema; a full-sized bowling alley; as well as Garage Disco which is used by teens during the day and adults at night.

Launching in June 2018, sister-ship MSC Seaview will offer 7-night Mediterranean cruises from Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona calling at Naples, Messina in Sicily and Malta. For more details of cruises aboard MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview call 0808 256 6742.
