Winning like a Norwegian

Winning like a Norwegian

Norwegian Cruise Line has once again been named the “World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line” by the World Travel Awards, marking the third consecutive year that the company has been honoured with this award.

The recognition was announced at the 21st annual World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala, held  recently in Anguilla.  The awards are voted on by travel agents and consumers across the globe and honour travel companies that provide outstanding products and customer service.

In addition to the award for top large-ship cruise line worldwide from the World Travel Awards, Norwegian Cruise Line has also received the award for “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line” for the past seven years, and has been named “Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line” for the past two years.

“We are thrilled to once again be leading the industry and thank our travel partners and guests worldwide for voting Norwegian the World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line,” said Drew Madsen, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We are very proud of this incredible achievement, which is a testament to our continued fleet enhancements, hard-working crew and commitment to exceeding the service expectations of our guests.”

Norwegian’s Freestyle Cruising vessels sail a variety of exciting itineraries, from the Caribbean to Panama Canal, Pacific Coastal and Mexican Riviera.  The line’s newest ship, Norwegian Getaway, cruises the Caribbean year-round from Miami. Norwegian has three ships sailing Alaska, four ships sailing in Europe seasonally including Norwegian Epic that will sail in Europe year-round beginning in May, and Pride of America, which sails weekly inter-island Hawaii cruises that offer 100 hours of port time.

The World Travel Awards has been recognising and acknowledging excellence amongst companies involved in the global travel and tourism industries since 1993 and has set high standards for all of their participants.
