For a capital city, Dublin is quite compact and most of the popular activities are accessible on foot or after a short bus ride. Stroll through a huge shopping complex with every high street brand imaginable, or duck into a side street laden with music shops, quaint restaurants and traditional bars. Much of the city’s attractions lie along the River Liffey, and many visitors opt to take a boat tour to gain their first impressions of the place. This said, everyone likes to discover things in their own way, and whether you prefer a ghost tour or a literary walk there will always be something to suit you.
