The most luxurious vessel sailing in Cambodia and Vietnam, the 68-passenger Scenic Spirit offers the largest suites on the Mekong in eight grades ranging from 24 spacious, 344 sq ft Deluxe Suites; to eight large, 430 sq ft Grand Deluxe Suites; to two Royal Promenade Suites at a staggering 861 sq ft. These beautifully-appointed suites are spread across three decks of this five-deck vessel. All include a Scenic ‘Sun Lounge’ balcony, or private outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi in the case of the Royal Promenade Suites. All suites boast a comfortable lounge area, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with separate toilet and shower. There is butler service for every guest and an impressive passenger-to-crew ratio of 1:3.

On Emerald Deck there is a pool, while one deck above – Sun Deck – there’s the novelty of an open-air cinema and plenty of comfortable sun-loungers from which to enjoy the enchanting scenery. On Sapphire Deck there is an Observation Lounge and River Café as well as an air-conditioned Spirit Lounge. Other facilities include a library, gym, beauty salon, steam sauna and wellness centre. There is a lift between the four interior decks. Entertainment includes Khmer dancing, Vietnamese Lion Dances, Karaoke, quiz nights and dancing under the stars.

The open-seating Crystal Dining Room on Jewel Deck serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers exceptional Asian-inspired à la carte dining making great use of fresh local ingredients; however beef and lamb are imported from Australia. There is a good selection of Australian and international wines. The vibrant River Café is perfect for delicious casual meals.

Scenic offers 8-day ‘Luxury Mekong’ and 15-day ‘Treasures of the Mekong’ cruises allowing guests to experience thriving cities, rural communities, floating villages and thatched markets; while rice paddies, pagodas and temples add to the enchanting pastiche.
