Thomson Majesty has classically styled bars, a selection of restaurants and a great choice of live entertainment. There is also a relaxing spa which has his ‘n’ hers treatment  rooms making this ship a favourite with couples.

This 1,462-passenger ship was christened by Lisa Minnelli in New York in 1992 as Royal Majesty – flagship of Florida-based Majesty Cruise Lines. After a brief spell with Norwegian Cruise Line, the ship was renamed in 2012 and is currently on a long-term charter to Thomson Cruises by Celestyal Cruises. During a 2014 refit 28 balconies were added to cabins on Deck 8, and the Piazza San Marco was enclosed. There are no water slides, rock climbing wall or celebrity chefs, but the ship has a staunchly loyal following from British passengers who enjoy the casual ambiance – as well as the fact that all gratuities and port taxes are included in the price of the cruise.

There are 16 categories of accommodation. These range from 108 to 188 sq ft Inside and Outside cabins; 139 sq ft Outside Plus cabins and Balcony cabins; as well as 236 sq ft Deluxe cabins, 247 sq ft Junior Suites and Balcony Junior Suites; as well as 398 sq ft Grand Suites. There are also Inside and Outside single cabins. Passengers book a particular grade of cabin which Thomson Cruises then allocate, specific cabins can be chosen for a reservation fee.

The open-seating Seven Seas Restaurant offers full waiter service for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a buffet at breakfast; while the smaller Four Seasons Restaurant is only open in the evening. Le Bistro is a cosy à la carte option for romantic dinners where the menu features French cuisine for a very reasonable supplement. With aft-facing views, the casual Piazza San Marco buffet is open at breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as for late-night snacks. The other buffet option is Café Royale with indoor and outdoor seating; on both the port and starboard sides are the Chef's Corners for comfort food. Afternoon tea is served in the Jubilee Lounge.

Live music is on offer in the Royal Observatory atop the ship; while a pianist or guitarist entertains in the Rendezvous Bar. Dancing to the ship’s band is popular in the Royal Fireworks Lounge in the evening, while during the day this is the place to go for quizzes and bingo. The Jubilee Lounge stages twice-nightly production shows as well as cabaret performances by British comedians, singers and tribute acts. Frame 52 is the ship’s disco and the Monte Carlo Casino is often open until the wee small hours. There are two swimming pools on Sun Deck – one just for adults.

The fully-qualified Kids’ Club hosts organise a fantastic range of activities for three to 11-year-olds, these range from arts and crafts to games and movie nights. The Sana Wellness Centre, Beauty Salon and Gym boasts seven treatment rooms – including a couples’ massage room – two saunas and a beauty salon.
