Cunard's 2019/20 Winter Voyages

Cunard's 2019/20 Winter Voyages

Cunard has unveiled its roster of cruises between November 2019 and June 2020, highlights of which include Christmas celebrations in Australia; sailing into the heart of Amazonia; and a new World Voyage. Travelling almost 150,000 nautical miles, the most famous ocean liners in the world will call at 123 destinations in 48 different countries, including 10 maiden calls. Cunard has announced an increase in variety and options of sailing choices, as well as the amount of time and number of ‘overnights’ guests can spend in some of the world's most iconic destinations.

Extravagant references to yesteryear underline what differentiates Cunard ships. Some rival companies have ships which boast sumptuous features and multifarious facilities, but none of them have such a colourful heritage. Fanciful illusions of being transported back to a golden age of travel, when screen sirens walked the decks and flirted over dinner are tangible. That era may be gone, but on board Cunard ships its spirit lives on.

In 2019 and 2020 Queen Elizabeth shall operate a series of exotic voyages that offer richer, deeper and more regionally-focused itineraries. Queen Victoria will circumnavigate South America, along with a Panama Canal transit. Sailing on a classic East-West exploration for 99 nights, Queen Mary 2 will undertake Cunard’s only World Voyage in 2020 with the compass set for Australia and Asia via the Mediterranean, Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean, and Southern Africa. It’s the ultimate bucket-list experience on board one of the world’s most luxurious ships.

Guests on board Queen Elizabeth will be able to celebrate Christmas in Australia for the first time ever; they’ll also be well positioned to be amongst the first in the world to see in the New Year from Auckland in New Zealand. On an exotic winter escape Queen Victoria revisits South America, offering immersive destinations and visiting sensuous cities. After a maiden call in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she’ll sail up the scenic Amazon to Manaus, round Cape Horn, and transit the Panama Canal on this incredible journey of discovery.

Cunard’s new programme has 15 overnight stays in some of the world's most fascinating and inspiring destinations, as well as 24 late evenings in port. Extra time ashore allows for more in-depth exploration of a destination and a chance to sample an evening tour, have dinner, or experience the local nightlife.
