Three new series of ITV documentary ‘The Cruise’ to be filmed this year
Three new series of the ITV documentary ‘The Cruise’, which will be set onboard two Princess Cruises ships, is to be filmed over the next few months. The new series will air prime time on ITV in 2018.
The documentaries will once again reveal what life is like for both crew and guests as they sail onboard a Princess ship. The new series follows the success of the previous two series, filmed respectively on Regal Princess in the Baltic and Royal Princess in the Mediterranean, which was a ratings success.
The new series will offer viewers the chance to see life on board as crew and passengers take in even more exotic destinations. It will return to the 3,560-guest Royal Princess as she cruises the Mediterranean this summer, as well as the 2,600-guest Star Princess as she sails across Alaska. Filming will then return to Royal Princess in November as the ship enters her Caribbean season.
ITV have announced the new series will again be made by Wild Pictures, one of the UK’s leading factual documentary makers. Wild Pictures has a reputation for creating access-led films with high production values that focus on major organisations and human interest stories.
The new series of The Cruise will include 6 x30minute episodes in the Mediterranean and two special 3 x 30 minute outings to Alaska and the Caribbean.
