Edinburgh in detail

Edinburgh is one of the hilliest, chilliest and most incredible cities in Britain, and one that well deserves a visit. Although there are over 400 miles sat between Edinburgh and London, you would be very mistaken in thinking that this city is lacking in culture or charm – with a huge range of activities, shops and museums there is something for every visitor.

The Mile is Edinburgh’s most popular street and boasts some of the most incredible architecture in Scotland. At one end you can see the seashore, at the other end Edinburgh Castle towers majestically above you, while the Mile itself is lined with boutiques, tourist shops and gallery spaces.

Over on Princes Street you can find every high street shop and brand you could wish for, and climbing Scott’s Monument gives you the greatest views by far. All in all, you can’t go wrong with Edinburgh – what better place to discover Scotland’s monumental heritage!
